I can't relive this hurt by loving
I can't release my heart
it's all I've given now to be forgiving
just as I fall apart
I can relate to someone so deserted
he comes from miles, light years away
I cannot hide from all this madness granted I've conformed to his darkest ways
I've followed many men before
kept crawling till my knees were bone
I've mirrored every one and learned to give my self to no one
so if you see my lover
tell him my new friend
is built like a race horse muscles and a mane blowing in the wind
and I've seen yours baby
he looks quite like me
but no will ever come close to me
throw that shit into the fire.

Low-key but huge, blisters floats in a strange balance between tender confessional and sweeping gospel epic, the lyrics enigmatic but deeply personal. Through some truly creative soundscapes, serpent's voice is, as always, close and central, giving this album the vibe of a private moment of rumination on love and self. Tom Colquhoun
honestly i love this album because, i love the sadness it portrays. i love the vocals, the acoustics, the electronic, experimental notes. eartheater really knew what to do with this album. vvinni
What an amazing and strange album! I remember the first time I heard of Josiah's work was a FADER article on Twitter about his debut EP. An EP which I liked but this album I love. Especially the track "cherubim". It's the most intense and moving track on here. It makes me want to move and dance as wildly as Josiah and his lover did in the music video for it. I can't wait to see what Josiah does in the future. John
